Glorious Gin is from a boutique distillery in New York, the botanical's used in the re-distillation of the base spirit include juniper, lemon, rosemary, ginger, and grapefruit.
I love to serve this gin with a generous slice of ginger and Fever Tree tonic. Like the fever tree tonic Glorious Gin is bottled as simply and naturally as possible, so there are no added coloring, additives or other extracts.
Although I like fresh ginger with the gin I am actually not a big fan of it as a ginger ale or beer, however, if that is your thing I highly recommend this matching with a good quality ginger ale.
There are those that recommend fresh grapefruit with this gin, I personally would not suggest it as there are a lot of other gins that I find match better with grapefruit flavors. This gin is a bold flavor and believe it should be matched with something bold.
I describe this gin to customers as the 'red wine of gin.' The reasons for this being it has a stronger flavor of alcohol than most other gins (45%) and going back to a lighter London Dry for instance would be too light after this. I can suggest if you are having a gin night a match to the Glorious is the Western Australian Gin; The West Winds: Cutlass.
